Geelani invited by Pak high commission to Delhi for meeting
Srinagar, Jul 11 (UNI) Chairman of the breakaway Hurriyat Conference (HC) Syed Ali Shah Geelani has been invited by the Pakistan High Commissioner to New Delhi for a meeting on July 20.
A spokesman for the HC said Mr Geelani received a phone call from the Pakistan embassy last night.
He said Mr Geelani was invited to New Delhi on July 20 for a meeting with Pakistan Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir, who is visiting India.
However, Mr Geelani has informed the Pakistan embassy that the decision to visit Delhi will be taken at a Majlis Shoura meeting tomorrow.
Recently, Mr Geelani had criticised Pakistan's role on Kashmir issue and maintained silence over the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) land issue.
For the past few years, Mr Geelani is not attending any function in Pakistan embassy in protest against what he said shift in the Pakistan stand on Kashmir.
