Composite index of metals, energy rises to 3,303.41 pt

Mumbai, July 11 (UNI) The composite index of metals, energy and agro-commodities was up by 2.91 per cent to 3,303.41 points, at the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) today.

Gold February 09 contract rose by 1.16 per cent to Rs 13,399 per 10 gms and gold August 08 contract by 0.79 per cent to Rs 13,179 per 10 gms, a MCX release said.

Platinum September 08 contract inched up by 1.28 per cent to Rs 28,288 per 10 grams.

Aluminium September 08 contract gained by 4.01 per cent to Rs 143.90 per kg, lead July 08 contract by 4.31 per cent to Rs 87.20 per kg. Nickel September 08 by 2.33 per cent to Rs 980 per kg and zinc July 08 contract by 4.42 per cent to Rs 87.45 per kg.

Cardamom September 08 contract was up by 3.98 per cent to Rs 593.75 per kg, and menthe oil July 08 contract increased by four per cent to Rs 691.40 per kg.
