1m long shark found in Australian beachside pool!
Melbourne, July 11 : A 1m long shark was found at a popular Sydney beachside pool, apparently swept into the baths by a big overnight tide.
The shark was found in Cronulla Baths on July 11 and Fisheries Department staff helped free it about 10.30am (AEST).
Lifesavers said it was the first time they had seen a shark in the baths.
Cronulla Surf Live Saving Club spokeswoman Robyn Cole said the incident was amazing for swimmers and lifesavers alike.
"The funny thing was there were people in the pool this morning and the shark must have come in overnight," News.com.au quoted Cole, as saying.
"We must have had a very high tide overnight," she said.
Cole said it was the first shark caught in the pool.
"We've had heaps of dolphins ... but never a shark," she added.
