Left parties to launch awareness drive on nuke deal in Punjab
Moga, Jul 10 (UNI) The Punjab units of the CPI and CPM have decided to launch a special awareness drive to mobilise the people against the Indo-US nuclear deal and also about the economic policies of the UPA government that has failed to check inflation.
This mobilisation campaign would be launched jointly by the two Left parties from Hussainiwala and Jallianwala Bagh simultaneously on July 14, state CPI secretary Bhupinder Sambhar announced at a press conference here today.
The joint CPI and CPM 'jathas' after cris-crossing through Punjab would reach Chandigarh on July 17 where a state level rally will be held.
