Jammu, Jul 10 (UNI) Unhappy over revoking the order of transfer of land to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) by Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra, the Jammu Joint Student's Federation (JJSF) today said it would launch a massive agitation and demand his resignation.
Addressing a press conference here JJSF president Pushpinder Singh said, ''We condemn the Central Government and its representative Mr Vohra for their casual and indifferent attitude towards the volatile situation in the state.'' ''The Centre should immediately recall the Governor, who is responsible for the present turmoil in the state,'' he said adding that the separatists and fundamentalists including PDP patron Mufti Mohmmad Sayeed, Mehbooba Mufti, senior party leader M H Beig should also be arrested for their incriminating utterances, which brought the routine life to a standstill.
He said the JJSF was one of the constituents of the Baba Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti, who decided to suspend the yatra for one week demanding removal of Mr Vohra.
''If the samiti fails to continue with the agitation, the JJSF will launch a massive protest and would keep the issue alive untill the demands were not accepted,'' Mr Singh asserted.
