Dehra Dun, Jul 10 (UNI) Uttarakhand BJP President Bachi Singh Rawat today said it was unfortunate that the decision to revoke the transfer of land to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) was done to appease the Muslim community and that his party would organise statewide protests on the issue.
Accusing the Congress of orchestrating a Muslim appeasement policy by having the transfer of the land revoked, Mr Rawat also said the Congress had always relied on the vote bank system.
He said the BJP would organise statewide protests to expose the true intentions of the Congress, adding his party has always stood for the common man.
''The BJP has always raised a voice on issues which are against national interest. Whether it be the Ram Mandir issue or the Ram Setu, the party has always protested against what is not in the public interest,'' he said.
