Six injured in clash over land dispute
Moga, Jul 9 (UNI) As many as six people received bullet injuries in a clash between two groups over a land dispute in Daudhar East village in the district last night.
According to police, the clash took place when Ranjit Singh along with some other villagers tried to take possession of six marlas land, which belonged to Dalip Singh. Ranjit claimed that he had made an agreement with Dalip and purchased the land about four years ago. However, Dalip said that the agreement was cancelled before it came into effect.
When Dalip and his supporters resisted, the clash between the two groups turned violent and both the groups started firing, in which six persons including Ranjit and his son was injured.
Police has registered a case under section 307 of the IPC and under the Arms Act.
