Jaipur, Jul 9 (UNI) The Rajasthan cabinet today cleared four bills for tabling and passage during the special session of the state assembly scheduled to begin on July 14.
The state government has decided to bring and get passed comprehensive bill to legislate on proposed reservation to Gujjars and three other castes under the special category of Most Backward Class, 14 per cent reservation to economically weaker sections of the higher castes and the existing reservation to the SCs, STs and OBCs, PWD minister and government spokesman Rajendra Singh Rathore said.
Besides this, three more bills -- Rajasthan Hospitals and Medical Institutions Violence (Prevention) Bill, RPSC Members Honorarium (Revision) Bill and Rajasthan Universities Absorption of Temporary Teachers (Amendment) Bill 2008 -- would also be tabled during the session which is expected to last for about a week, Mr Rathore said.
The Rajasthan Universities Absorption of Temporary Teachers (Amendment) Bill was being moved to accommodate amendment suggested by Governor Shilendra Kumar in the original Bill which was passed during the last session of the assembly earlier this year, he said.
Similarly, Rajasthan Hospitals and Medical Institutions Violence (Prevention) Bill was being brought to curb incidents of violence in hospitals by relatives of patients against doctors, para medical staff and medical students.
Those found guilty in such incidents, would be liable to a jail term up to three years and/or fine up to Rs 50,000, he said.
The RPSC Members Honorarium (Revision) Bill was being brought to effect hike in the honorarium of the commission members from present Rs 22,400 to Rs 24,500 per month, Mr Rathore added.
