Hyderabad, Jul 9 (UNI) More than 20 activists of Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) were arrested when they tried to lay a siege to the state Censor Board office, seeking the removal of 'objectionable dialogues' in a Telugu film here today.
MRPS founder Manda Krishna Madiga, along with the activists, staged dharna in front of the Censor Board office, affecting vehicular traffic for more than half an hour on the busy Masab Tank road.
When they attempted to barge into the office premises, police took them into preventive custody.
Speaking to mediapersons, Mr Madiga said as some dialogues in the recently-released movie 'Gorintaku' hurt the feelings of some sections of physically-challenged, they should be removed immediately.
Responding to the MRPS demand, film director V R Pratap said the controversial dialogues would be deleted. However, he said the meaning of the dialogues does not hurt anyone, if they were understood properly.
