CM sends Chadar for Ajmer Sharief Dargah
New Delhi, Jul 9 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today sent traditional Chadar as her offering at Ajmer Sharief Dargah.
''We are sending "Chadar" for the prosperity and social harmony for Delhi,''the Chief Minister told reporters on the occasion, in the presence of Delhi Development Minister Raj Kumar Chauhan, Transport Minister Haroon Yusuf, Health Minister Yoganand Shastri and Delhi Urs Committee Chairman Chaudhary Salauddin.
Ms Dikshit said that the Dargah at Ajmer is a symbol of communal harmony and brotherhood.
''Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti was an eminent Sufi saint whose devotees and followers are spread in a number of countries. His teachings will continue to be relevant for all times to come,'' Ms Dikshit said.
Ms Dikshit said that the Delhi government has been organising camps at Burari. She added that her government is committed to make stay of pilgrims more comfortable.
