UPSRTC heads towards agreement with Haryana govt
Sultanpur, Jul 8 (UNI) Now, Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) buses would now be able to ply in Haryana as an agreement between the two states is in the offing.
Giving this information at an opening ceremony of a workshop for Sultanpur depot, UP Transport Minister Ram Achal Rajbhar today said '' after an understanding with some other states over the plying of buses, the UP government is heading towards an agreement with the Haryana government on July 16.'' The minister, however, undisclosed more details of the proposed agreement.
Mr Rajbhar further said there was a provision for inclusion of 2,000 buses in this year's budget, but till now only 464 new buses have been added in the state roadways.
The minister also criticised the vandalising and torching of state roadways buses by furious mobs as a mark of protest.
