TDP demands UPA to prove its majority in Parliament
Eluru, Jul 8 (UNI) The opposition Telugu Desam party (TDP) President and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today demanded that the United Progressive Alliance(UPA) prove its majority by seeking vote of confidence in Parliament immediately.
Speaking to newspersons at Undrajavaram in West Godavari district, Mr Naidu said the UPA Government has the responsibility to prove its majority in the House after the Left withdrew its support to the Government on the nuclear deal issue.
When asked about the Samajwadi Party(SP)'s support to the UPA, he said the SP would not be considered as a partner of the United National Progressive Alliance (UNPA).
Mr Naidu and SP leader Mulayam Singh Yadav played key role in the formation of UNPA, an alternative to the Congress and BJP forces in the Indian politics.
