Accordingly, the company today announced the national launch of seven new printer models, including the breakthrough Laser printer -- ML 2245, and strengthening of its printer organisation. With this, the product portfolio of Samsung would go up to 30 across personal, network, colour laser printer and MFP segments.
They are priced in the range between Rs 5299 to RS 1,39,999.
Briefing newspersons, Uday Bhat, General Manager, IT division, Samsung India Electronics Pvt Ltd, said, to give a fresh thrust to the printer business, the number two player, was doubling its printer sales and marketing manpower this year.
''To give our Enterprise business a strong fillip, we have set up a separate Corporate sales team for our printer business,'' he said.
Samsung would be focusing on expanding is product range and channel in order to achieve its targetted growth of over 100 per cent in this year. ''We will launch products across all customer segments like SOHO, SMB and corporate bodies. This will come with a strong communication concept of 'Say Hello to Printlligense','' he said.
To give consumers a complete idea of its IT product portfolio, including printers and LCD monitors, the company plans to set up ten IT Brand Ships around the country this year.
Some of the highlights of the new range printers were printers with smallest footprints to save space, low printing costs, USD Direct Print and Scan functions, easy paper jam removal land onsite warranty, Mr Bhat added.
