Sabarimala Swamy Ayyappan Temple replica in Pochampally
Hyderabad, Jul 8 (UNI) The Sabarimala Ayyappan Temple at Pochampally, about 50 km from here, will be open for the public from July 11, with the installation of the Flag Pole covered with gold.
Built by ''Sri Ayyappa Bhaktha Samajam'', work on the building which began on July 13, 2004, has been completed.
The Flag Pole covered with gold, will be installed by the hereditary Chief Priest of Sabarimala Brahmasri Kandaru Rajeevaru Thanthri.
The ''Prathishta'' of main deity Lord Ayyappan and '' Upadevatas'' Lord Ganesha, Lord Subramanian and Lord Nagaraja were performed on July 8, 2005, by hereditary Chief Priest of Sabarimala, Brahmasri Kandaru Rajeevaru Thanthri. Since then, the daily poojas and other functions were being conducted by priests as per the ''Yujurvedic'' System as prescribed by the Thanthri.
The temple will have yearly ''Brahmotsavam''(Annual festival), and ''Mandalam'' season festivals. The annual festival will be conducted for six days starting with ''Kodiettam''(Flag hoisting) and conclude with ''Arattu''(Holi bath).
