Reference rate fixed at Rs 43.37 per USD, up 25 paise

Mumbai, July 8 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today fixed the reference rate for US Dollar at Rs 43.37 per unit, up 25 paise against yesterday's close of 43.12 per USD.

The reference rate for Euro was quoted 67 paise higher at Rs 68.08 per unit against yesterday's rate of Rs 67.41.

The exchange rates for Pound and Japanese Yen against the Rupee were quoted at Rs 85.5191 (85.0865) per Pound and Rs 40.62 (40.18) per 100 units respectively, a Reserve Bank of India communique said.
