Dehra Dun, Jul 8 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition Harak Singh Rawat today lashed out at Uttarakhand Chief Minster B C Khanduri dubbing him a 'corrupt' CM heading a 'kitchen cabinet' with vested interests.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Rawat said he had never seen a more corrupt and incapable Chief Minister than Mr Khanduri and accused him of playing ''double games'' by making promises to the people and then retracting from his statements.

''The Chief Minister has time and again deviated from his statements and is losing the faith of the people,'' he said.

''The BJP does not care about the development of the state and its youth, and it is apparent by huge resentment among the people against the Uttarakhand State University Bill,'' he added.

Mr Rawat's resentment against the Chief Minister comes in the aftermath of the inaguration of the new Srinagar Medical College in Srinagar (Garhwal) by Khanduri yesterday. He claimed that as one of the dignitaries, he was not given a chance to speak and deliberately snubbed by the Chief Minister.

''The Chief Minister's attempt to ignore my presence and my request to speak during the inauguration of the medical college was a malicious strategy of the BJP to muffle the Opposition's voice,'' he said. ''The Opposition has decided not to participate in any event organised by the BJP and will spearhead protest rallies to make the people of the state aware of the party's vested agenda'', he quipped.
