Bhopal, July 8 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Forest Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah today denied in the Assembly that the government had adopted a lax attitude in the implementation of a proposal to a tribal medical college in Shahdol district and claimed that the work was in progress.

In a written reply to Mr Chhotelal Sarawagi (BJP), Mr Shah said a letter was sent to the Medical Department by the Chief Minister's Office on September 15, 2006 for opening up a tribal medical college in Shahdol district and asking them to send a report after carrying out necessary inspection in this regard. So far, four reminders has been sent to the department.

''The department is taking swift action and the procedure is underway. However, it is not possible to tell a time frame,'' he added.
