Bhopal, Jul 8 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Assembly today witnessed heavy uproar with both the treasury and Opposition members trading slogans against each other on Indore riot issue forcing early adjournment of the sitting for the day even as the Speaker rushed through the entire official business, including passage of 12 bills without debate within half an hour.

From the start, Leader of the Opposition Jamuna Devi and senior Congress member Digvijay Singh maintained that there would be no smooth run of the House until Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan ordered a judicial inquiry into Indore riots, in which six people were killed and many injured in the aftermath of the July 3 Bharat Bandh on Amarnath land issue.

Due to the ruckus, the house could not transact the Question Hour and initially the sitting was adjourned till 1130 hours. When the House resumed its sitting, the Congress and other Opposition members were on their feet demanding judicial probe into riots at many places in the state.

Later they trooped into the well of the House and stayed there till the House was adjourned for the day. While the Congress members were raising slogans against the BJP regime for alleged ''goondaraj'', the ruling party members alleged the Congress was having a link with banned SIMI.

Amid pandemonium, Speaker Ishwardas Rohani asked the ministers to lay down reports and allow Home Minister Himmat Kothari to read his reply on an adjournment notice on riots moved by Mr Arif Aqueel (Cong) and 21 others. But nothing was audible in the din.

Finance Minister Raghavji presented the first supplementary budget of current fiscal 2008-09, while 12 official bills, including one on providing security to medical personnel, were passed without debate in less than half an hour. Later the Speaker adjourned the sitting for the day.
