Mah Congress-NCP govt are unable to protect Dalits: Munde
Mumbai, Jul 7 (UNI) BJP general secretary Gopinath Munde today alleged that the Congress-NCP government in the state was unable to protect the Dalits, as the maximum number of Dalit atrocity incidents have occurred during its tenure.
Speaking at a meeting of Maharashtra BJP's Scheduled Caste (SC) front here, Mr Munde also cited incidents of dalit atrocity that took place at Khairlanji and Sindhudurg.
Speaking on the occasion, former BJP president Bangaroo Laxman criticised the UPA government for giving priority to Muslims ahead of SC and ST.
He alleged that the UPA government is involved in minority pampering and said that the government has reduced the allotment of funds to SC and ST ministry by Rs 2500 crore and Rs 1700 crore respectively, while it has granted funds amounting to Rs 1400 crore to the minority welfare ministry.
