London, July 7 : Broadmoor Hospital, the high-security hospital home to criminals such as 'Yorkshire Ripper' Peter Sutcliffe and 'Stockwell Strangler' Kenneth Erskine, is holding 'Broadmoor's Got Talent' as part of efforts to socialize patients.

In Broadmoor's version of TV show 'Britain's Got Talent,' notorious rapists and murderers have been invited to perform.

Posters for the contest have been stuck around the hospital featuring a logo based on the TV show's and the line, 'Show us your skills and talents.'

Participants must agree to the rules such as no swearing and: 'No arguing with the judges! The judges' decision is final.'

Criminals would 'have a go at murdering popular songs' and perhaps do some 'jail-break dancing'.

A spokesperson for Broadmoor said the competition was a way of getting patients to mingle.

"One of the risks for people with mental illnesses is that they go into themselves and do not mix with people. This competition is a way of getting them to go out and meet people," News of the World quoted him, as saying.
