CM orders to constitute special team to probe killings
Patna, Jul 07 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today ordered constitution of special investigating team to probe last night's gruesome killing of five people on the outskirts of the state capital.
On the sidelines of Janta Durbar at his official residence here, Mr Kumar told newspersons that he had ordered state DGP S C Jha to constitute special team comprising personnel from Special Branch and Crime Investigation Department(CID).
'' The investigation team will submit its report at the earliest,'' Mr Kumar said adding the probe would be carried out from all possible angles to ascertain the reason behind the killings.
The victims were very poor and apparently had no enmity with anyone, he said and added that the state government would give compensation to victims' family.
However, the qunatum of the relief package had not been finalised and would be announced shortly, he added.
When asked about the possible mid-term poll for Lok Sabha, Mr Kumar said his party was always prepared to face elections. '' The UPA government was fighting the battle for its survival and it was engaged in all political permutations and combinations,'' he added.
