Radar shut down affected flights in Kolkata airport
Kolkata, Jul 5 (UNI) Flight operations at the city airport were affected for two hours this evening folowing shut down of a radar.
Accroding to Airport Authority of India, the radar controlling flights of the west and east sectors as well as the airport approach had to be to shut down between 1800 to 2000 hours.
Although a NODAM (notice to airman) had been issued flights were guided through verbal communication between air traffic controller and pilots.
