PCB wants Asia cup final to be a sucess

By Staff

Lahore, Jul 5 (UNI) Disappointed after the poor show by Pakistan in the Asia cup, PCB chief Naseem Ashraf wants the final to be a resounding success.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will distribute 10,000 tickets among students and the Sindh government will provide free bus service for the spectators to ensure a good turnout for the summit clash.

''Let's not say that Pakistan did not qualify so we will not watch the final,'' Ashraf told the local media here.

''Let's make Asia Cup final a success. We will distribute 10000 tickets among students and the Sindh government has arranged 32 busses at eight terminals to bring spectators to the Stadium,'' he added.

Ashraf was happy at the successful manner in which Pakistan has hosted the Asia Cup.

''I am proud of the way we've hosted the Asia Cup. It has been a spectacular tournament,'' he stated Ashraf also said Pakistan will host their inaugural Twenty20 league next September. He said the PCB is in the final phase of negotiations with ICC to hold the Pakistan Super League.
