New Delhi, Jul 5 (UNI) While the Samajwadi Party today reiterated its support to the Congress on the nuclear deal, it denied reports that it was entering into any poll alliance with the ruling party at the Centre.

Talking to reporters here, SP general secretary Amar Singh said.

there was no formal talk of any alliance with Congress when he met Congress chief Sonia Gandhi yesterday to convey his party's stand on the nuclear deal.

Reports said that the Congress discussed seat distribution with Mr Singh and party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and proposed 50 seats out of the total 80 in Uttar Pradesh in the coming Lok Sabha elections.

Amar Singh said though he supported the Congress on the nuclear deal but so far that party had not formally asked their support.

The Left are still to withdraw their support to the government, he sought to point out.
