10 Mediation centre to be set up in state: Sinha
Mumbai, Jul 5 (UNI) In a bid to speed up disposal of long pending suits, ten mediation centres would be set up in Maharashtra, Supreme Court Judge Justice S B Sinha said here today.
Speaking at a two-day seminar on 'Mediation Centres'' jointly organised by Law and Judiciary department and Bombay High Court, Mr Sinha said in the near future ten mediation centres would be set up in the state to speed up the disposal of suits.
By setting up these centres, disputes between two parties, which are pending for a long time, would be solved by mutual cooperation in a transparent way, which will also curtail expenditure of both parties. It is also less time consuming, Justice Sinha said.
Bombay High Court Chief Justice Swatanter Kumar said mediation is the best remedy to settle the disputes between parties.
