Jammu, Jul 4 (UNI) BJP MP and former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu said vested interests have ''communalised'' the issue of transfer of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB).
Mr Sidhu, who paid obeisance at Shri Mata Vasihno Devi shrine while interacting with mediapersons yesterday at Katra, said, ''Leaders with vested interests have damaged the faith of Hinduism and it should not be tolerated.'' The MP said people should strongly react against this ''burning'' issue to teach the leaders a lesson, who politicise such issues for the sake of generating a votebank without caring about the religious sentiments.
''Jammu and Kashmir government should immediately hand over the land to the shrine board to restore normalcy and peace in the country,'' he asserted.
