Two students killed, four injured as truck hits 3 vehicles

New Delhi, Jul 4 (UNI) In a major accident, two teenage school girls were killed and four others injured when a speeding truck hit three vehicles in Burari the area of north-west Delhi early today.

While the two girls -- Anjali (15) and her friend Neelam (18) -- died on the spot after the truck hit the motorbike they were travelling, Anjali's father Jagdish, who was riding both of them to school, was admitted to the hospital, said a police official.

Jagdish was taken to the Trauma Centre near Kashmere Gate but later referred to the Jaipur Golden Hospital, where his condition is said to be stable.

After hitting the mobike, the truck which was on its way towards G T Karnal Road from ISBT, first rammed into a tractor-trolley before hitting a three-wheeler delivery van injuring three others at about 0630 hrs.

The injured on the tractor-trolley were Jawahar (28) and Prasadilal (25) while Sikander (30) was the one injured on the delivery van.

The driver of the truck, Ram Niwas (34), has been admitted to the hospital and will be arrested after he is released from there, said the official adding that a case has been registered.
