Stampede during 'Rath Yatra' in MP town
Jhabua, MP, Jul 4 (UNI) A stampede was resulted following rumours of stone pelting during 'Rath Yatra' of Lord Jagannath at this district headquarters today, police said.
A 'Rath Yatra' was taken out from local Jagannath temple at 1100 hours this morning when unidentified men spread news of stone-pelting while the yatra was crossing Thandla gate.
Soon after, markets closed down their shutters and police reached the spot and controlled the situation. The administration, however, cautioned the people to remain beware of the rumours.
