Reference rate fixed at Rs 43.21 per USD, down 9 paise

Mumbai, July 4 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today fixed the reference rate for US Dollar at Rs 43.21 per unit, down nine paise from yesterday's close of 43.30 per USD.

The reference rate for Euro was quoted 80 paise lower at Rs 67.92 per unit, against yesterday's rate of Rs 68.72.

The exchange rates for Pound and Japanese Yen against the Rupee were quoted at Rs 85.7200 (86.1302) per Pound and Rs 40.44 (40.83) per 100 units respectively, a Reserve Bank of India communique said.
