Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, July 4 (UNI) PMK MLA T Velmurugan today came down heavily on State Agriculture Minister K Veerapandi Arumugam for his alleged 'disparaging' remarks against PMK Founder-Leader S Ramadoss and the party and blamed State Ministers, including Mr Arumugam, for ousting his party from the DMK-led DPA in the State.

Referring to an interview by Mr Arumugam which appeared in a Tamil magazine, Mr Velmurugan told the press the DMK leadership should rein him and codemn his remarks.

Dr Ramadoss always upheld the 'Alliance Dharma' by exhorting his cadre to work hard for the victory of the alliance candidates.

Citing the examples of 1998 and 2004 Lok Sabha elections in which DMK candidates from the Minority Community won from the Cuddalore Constituency, he claimed it the PMK which ensured the victory of the candidates in the constituency dominated by Vanniyars and the Dalits.

He claimed the PMK was ousted from the DPA as some of the Ministers did not like the party raising the issue of corruption in areas such as education, agriculture and electricity.

Chief Minister M Karunanidhi also ignored the efforts taken by Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi Supremo Thol Thirumavalan for reconcilation between the DMK and the PMK, he alleged.
