Pakistan Prime Minister to visit US this month end
Washington, Jul 4 (UNI) Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani will visit the United States on July 28, his first after assuming office in March last, at the invitation of President Bush, the White House informed.
The President welcomes the opportunity to talk to Prime Minister Gilani on ways to further advance bilateral cooperation with Pakistan on a broad range of issues, including counterterrorism, economic development, and regional cooperation, a White House press release said yesterday.
Premier Gilani is also expected to meet senior administration officials including Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Defence Secretary Bob Gates.
The Pakistan Embassy is also trying to arrange his meetings with the Democratic Presidential candidate Senator Barak Obama and Republican Party Senator John McCain.
