Lahore, Jul 4: The Lahore High Court om Friday, July 4, stayed the 18-month ban imposed by the PCB-appointed appellate tribunal on maverick fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar.
The seven million rupees fine on the pacer, however, will stay. The 'Rawalpindi Express' was handed a five-year ban by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in April for several instances of indiscipline and violating the conditions of a two-year probation. The tribunal later reduced the suspension to 18 months with a fine. The volatile speedster had filed a petition against the decision on Monday.
