Khanal predicts ten more days for formation of new government in Nepal
Kathmandu, July 4 : The Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist-Leninist (CPN-UML) General Secretary Jhalanath Khanal has predicted it would take ten more days for the formation of a new government.
Speaking at a programme, on delay in government formation, organised by South Asian Free Media Association (SAFMA) on Thursday, Khanal said that it will take ten days to form the new government even if the current political deadlock ends now.
"We cordially request the three parties of Madhes to allow the resumption of Constituent Assembly meeting where they are free to put any issue they like for discussion," he added.
Nearly three months have passed since the April 10 election of Constituent Assembly (CA). But the new government has not yet been formed.
Khanal also called on all the parties to resolve the current political problems through the Constituent Assembly meet.
However, the obstruction of Constituent Assembly meeting by the Madhesi parties has delayed the formation of new government, Kantipur reported.
