Gurgaon, July 4 (UNI) With a view to bringing together the best of French education and young Indian talent, Orange, a key brand of France Telcom in India has awarded scholarship to ten meritorious Indian students who wish to pursue their Masters Degree in France.
The ten selected students will be joining two French engineering institutes: the Institut Superieur d'Electronique de Paris and Institut Telecom-Paristech. The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has provided additional benefits to the chosen students such as social security, health insurance, partial lodging assistance and so forth.
The two year programme would encompass a well-balanced mix of academic and industrial training. Orange would provide hands-on training to the awardees with a possibility of finally integrating the promising young engineers in their fold.
Talking to newspersons, Vivek Badrinath, Orange EVP IT and Networks said,''This programme is an excellent opportunity for Orange to expand its cultural diversity and experince leading to the creation of a possible thinktank of high-level Indian technical managers with a good knowledge of our group's organisation and a taste of French touch.'' French Ambassador Jerome Bonnafont also expressed his willingness to expand the current programme by welcoming any French company wishing to invest in India or any Indian company willing to invest in France.
