e-Governance in Bihar from August 15:Modi
Patna, Jul 4 (UNI) Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi today said e-Governace will become a reality from August 15 in Bihar.
All government circulars, including the state gazette and other records, would now be fully computerised and also be available on the website within one week of its notification, he said.
During a high level meeting convened here to review the progress of the work, Mr Modi said with its introduction anyone could access the circulars, rules, regulations and financial code of the state government on the website as and when required.
''Officers holding key position in the state government would clear the proposals availing the facilities of e-Governance,'' Mr Modi said adding businessmen, organisations and individuals would be able to pay taxes and file income tax return, using the facilities of e-governance.
Mr Modi said a leading software company Tata Consultancy Service(TCS) had been given the responsibility of preparing the facilities of e-governance and it was directed to complete the work before this Indendence day.
