Patna, Jul 04 (UNI) The CPI today expressed concern over the ongoing indefinite strike of non-teaching staff of colleges and universities across the state and demanded the government's immediate intervention to end the strike in the interest of the students.
In a release issued here, CPI state secretary Badri Narain Lal told reporters here that teaching and examination in colleges and universities had been paralysed following the strike of the non- teaching staff.
'' It is ironical to note that the Nitish government had not any step to end the strike, while the fate of thousands of students continues to hang in balance,'' he added.
Mr Lal blamed the state government for the strike and said non- implementation of the earlier agreements reached with non-teaching staff was the root cause behind the current stalemate. It was now the responsibility of the state government to invite striking employees for the talks and consider their genuine demands including the implementation of the earlier agreements, he added.
