BJP ready to woo north Indians in Maharashtra
Thane, July 4 (UNI) In a bid to woo north Indians in the state, newly-appointed chief of the North Indian Cell of BJP state unit Mrityunjay Pandey will undertake an extensive tour of Maharashtra.
Talking to newsmen here today, Mr Pandey said his appointment has come at the most appropriate time when the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections are round the corner. He said his prime task is to bring maximum number of north Indians into the fold of BJP, to help the Party return to power in the centre and state as well.
Mr Pandey, who has been associated with the Sangh Parivar and the Janasangh for several years, has served as vice president of the Kamghar morcha from 1998-2000 and was the President of the Thane Region Uttar Bharatiya Cell in 2001-03.
