378 posts of rural medical assistants open in Chhattisgarh
Raipur, Jul 4 (UNI) In order to overcome shortage of doctors in rural areas, the Chhattisgarh government has initiated the process to recruit students of three-year medical syllabus for 378 posts of Rural Medical Assistants in 12 districts.
The Health Department, in a notification, said the medical assistants would be entitled to treat petite and general diseases, but barred from conducting post-mortem and medical examination.
The Medical Assistants can treat bacteria infection, malaria, viral infection, typhoid, anaemia, measles, asthma and similar diseases.
