London, July 3 : When the whole world would be eagerly watching Venus and Serena Williams play against each other on July 5, their dad will be flying home to the United States - because he can't bear to see his daughters clash on the court.
Venus and Serena, who have six Wimbledon titles between them, are on course to clash for the third time in a Wimbledon final on Saturday.
Richard Williams, their father, who nurtured their careers from an early age, is happy to cheer them on in their semi-finals on July 3 but the clash on the biggest stage in tennis is too painful for him.
"I'll be booking to go home. I won't watch it. If you are a parent you wouldn't want to see your kids fighting. That's what it is like to me. I'll not even watch it back home," The Sun quoted him, as saying.
"I don't watch them play each other - period. I didn't see either of those two Wimbledon finals," he added.
