New York, July 3 : Oscar-winning actress Tatum O'Neal pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct stemming from her drug arrest in June.
The 44-year-old actress paid a 95-dollar fee and walked out of Manhattan Criminal Court with a smile and a renewed pledge to stay away from the drugs.
"I'm going back to my meetings and back to my life," the New York Daily News quoted O'Neal, as saying.
The actress, who won an Academy Award as a 10-year-old for her role as a kiddie con artist in 'Paper Moon', was charged with misdemeanour drug possession last month when cops nabbed her buying drugs from a lower East Side street dealer.
O'Neal accepted a deal from prosecutors in which she pleaded guilty to a lesser charge and will have to attend two half-day drug-treatment sessions.
"I'm just glad that I got the deal that I got," O'Neal said.
