Six bodies of Grey Hound Police retrieved
Hyderabad, July 3 (UNI) Six bodies of greyhound jawans were retrieved from the waters when the boat in which their team was travelling capsized after Maoists attacked at Balimela reserviour on Andhra-Orissa border last week.
Police said that with this, the number of bodies recovered from the reserviour rose to eight. Two bodies were retrieved the day after the incident occurred.
The bodies were identified as those of K Shankar Rao (Sub Inspector), Mohd Salauddin (constable, Mahaboob Nagar district), Rangin Kumar Kora (constable of Chitrakonda police station in Orissa), S Rammurthy (Reserve Sub-Inspector of Srikakulam), K Anjaneyulu (Constable, Prakasham district) and Kiran Kumar (Constable of Karim Nagar district).
Visakhapatnam District Superintendent of Police (SP) A Sabarwal told newsmen that the rescue teams were making efforts to retrieve the boat.
