Varanasi, July 3 (UNI) Stressing upon the revival of small-scale industries, Uttar Pradesh small scale industry minister Chandradev Ram Yadav today said his department would provide financial help to youth and help them in rejuvenating the dying art.
Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Yadav said his department is focussing on in training the unemployed youth in ancient and traditional arts, besides helping them financially.
Banarsi Saree, wooden toys, glass beeds and many other such traditional works are on the verge of fall due to lack of economy, he said.
It is the need of the hour to upbring these small scale industries by providing them every possible help, he added.
Ruling out that carpet industry has suffered a major jolt in the near future, he said carpet industry is blossming with evey passing day.
In 2001, the carpet industries turn over was Rs 1,284 crore, which swelled to Rs 1856 crore in the year 2006-07, Mr Yadav asserted.
