Quota amendment Bill to remove practical problems: Cabinet
New Delhi, Jul 3 (UNI) The Centre today decided to introduce in Parliament a Bill to amend the law on reservation in central educational institutions to remove implementation problems.
The Bill will be known as Cental Educational Institutions (reservation in admission) Amendment Bill, 2008, Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told reporters.
The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
The move comes in the wake of practical difficulties faced while implementing the provisions of the Central Educational Institutions (reservation in admission) Act, 2006, the Minister said.
