ISEC to hold three-day seminar on Social Science Research
Bangalore, Jul 3 (UNI) The Institute for Social and Economic Change, (ISEC), here will hold a three-day seminar on 'Institutional Structure of Social Science Research' from July Six to commemorate its founder and first Director VKR V Rao, country's illustrious Economist, ISEC Director R S Deshapande said today.
Speaking to newsmen here, he said that the centenary celebrations which began in July 2007 would end on July 8 and as the final event ISEC is holding the Seminar in which eminent economists and social scientists from all over the country are participating.
He said that the valued participants who would take part in the event were including past and present VKRV Rao Chair Professors of ISEC, winners of VKRV Rao prizes awarded by the Institute jointly with the Indian Council of Social Science Research from time to time, other eminent social scientists and policy makers.
The renowned scholars participating in the Seminar includes Dr U R Rao, Dr Kaushik Basu, Dr Yoginder Alagh, Dr A Ravindra, Dr C T Kurien, Dr S L Rao and Prof Javeed Alam and Prof Sukhadeo Thorat, Chairman University Grants Commission.
