Mumbai, July 3 (UNI) A session court today convicted a person on the charges of triple murder of family members of his employer in 2003 at Borivali here.
After completion of the final argument by defence as well as prosecution today, the Additional Sessions Court Judge R U Deshmukh reserved the pronouncement of the sentence till July 16.
Assistant Public Prosecutor K V Kenjalkar said accused Rohidas Yashwant Gangade was working as a delivery boy with Vivek Gadgil (32), at Dadar here.
In March 2003, the accused did not pay a sum of Rs seven to the customer, about which Mr Gadgil came to know and scolded him.
Thereafter, the accused continued to work with him for quite some time.
On June 13, 2003, the accused took a sickle from his relative under the pretext of cutting wood. He went to Mr Gadgil's residence in Shruti building, Borivali at around 1500 hours and asked Gadjili's wife Vaidehi (30) to call him. When she went to call him, the accused attacked her with the sickle.
Thereafter, he also attacked her two sons, Chinmay (two) and Amay (eight), Mr Kenjalkar said.
Mr Gadgil tried to call back home, but there was no response. He called at his brother's residence and asked his sister-in-law to go his residence and see what had happened. Later, his sister-in-law informed Mr Gadgil about the incident, Mr Kenjalkar said.
