CM deputes Karnick to oversee shifting of bodies

Bangalore, Jul 3 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today deputed state NRI Cell Convener Ganesh Karnick to oversee shifting of the bodies of the dead and provision of medical facilities to the injured people in the bus accident, in Dehardon in Uttar Kashi yesterday.

Sixteen people were killed when the bus plunged into Bhagirathi river, including seven from Mangalore and Udupi.

According to a press release from the Secretariat, Mr Karnick has been asked to rush to the accident spot and make arrangements for shifting the bodies to the native places or the deceased and ensure proper medical facility to the injured from the state.

Condoling the deaths, Mr Yeddyurappa had instructed Karnataka Bhavan Resident Commissioner in New Delhi to provide all assistance needed to Mr Karnick.
