Army Aviation Conference held at Western Command
Chandigarh, Jul 3 (UNI) The Annual Army Aviation Conference for Western Command was held at Headquarters Western Command in Chandimandir today.
Lt Gen AN Aul, Chief of Staff, Headquarters Western Command chaired the conference. Senior officers from Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Army), including ADG Army Aviation and other service officers dealing with aviation related matters participated in the conference.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief of Staff congratulated the Army Aviation Corps for its outstanding performance during the year 2007-08 and exhorted them to continue striving in pursuit of excellence and ensure safe flying missions.
On the occasion, Lt Gen TK Sapru, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command presented the Flight Safety Trophy to 14 Recce and Observation Flight of 661 Army Aviation Squadron (Recce and Observation). The Flight has been adjudged the best operational flying unit in the Western Command for the year 2007-08 based on its operational proficiency and flight safety achievements.
