Chennai, Jul 3 (UNI) The Silver Jubilee of the Adhi Parasakthi Group of Educational institutions would be held in a grand manner tomorrow.
The Group of educational institutions were being administered by the management of the famous Goddess Parasakthi Amman temple at Melmaruvathur, about 100 km from here.
Talking to reporters here, Melmaruvathur Adiparasakthi 'Anmiga Iyakkam' President Surendranath said welfare schemes and assistance to the tune of Rs one crore would be distributed to the people during the silver jubilee fest to be held at the Panchaiyappa's College grounds.
Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary L K Tripathy would be the Chief guest at the function to be presided by spiritual leader Bangaru Adigalar and Lakshmi Bangaru Adigalar.
Chennai Mayor M subramanian would hand over financial assistance, computers and Braille books for the blind and the poor student.
Indian Bank CMD M S Sunderarajan would give away aids to the physically handicapped. Several other programmes, including food stock to people living below the BPL for a period of one month, uniform for porters in Southern Railway, medical aid, and insurance coverto unorganised workers were lined up on the occasion.
