Uneasy calm in Pakistan's Khyber region
Bara/ Peshawar, July 2, 2008 : An uneasy calm prevailed in the Pakistani tribal town of Bara on Tuesday. The town is witnessing its fourth day of an offensive against Islamists threatening Peshawar.
Security personnel forcibly closed down shops which had opened despite the curfew, and arrested suspected trouble-makers. Security forces launched an offensive in Khyber on Saturday to push back Taliban militants who have been moving towards Peshawar.
