VHP holds vehicle rallies to protest Amarnath land revoking
Mumbai, Jul 2 (UNI) Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has declared phase wise agitations, including vehicle rallies in all the major towns and cities of the country today, to protest the revoking of Amarnath temple land by the Jammu and Kashmir government.
They have also declared a 'Bharat Bandh' tomorrow to protest the same. Speaking to mediapersons here, VHP general secretary Vyankatesh Abdeo said, ''Revoking Amarnath land is only the tip of the iceberg and the real game plan is to declare all Hindu pilgrimages in India as either jungles, mountains, seas or rivers. The same policy was followed while preventing Hindus from worshipping at Ramsethu, Navgrahas in Konark Sun temple and other places.'' ''If the devotees are not allowed to complete their Amarnath Yatra, VHP will not allow Haj pilgrimage too,'' Mr Abdeo said.
''If they get away with the land revocation of Amarnath, the same will be done in Sabarimala in Kerala, Swamimalai in Tamil Nadu, Vindyasini in Uttar Pradesh, Tirumala in Tirupati and other places,'' he said.
The VHP general secretary has put forth a list OF demands, including return of Amarnath temple land to Shri Amarnath Shrines Board, conversion of Haj houses into charity hospitals for the poor and cancellation of Haj subsidy. Mr Abdeo also alleged that the flights to Haj should be cancelled as it is used by Jehadis to hurt the economics of the non-Muslim countries.
The VHP has also declared boycott of all Kashmiri products and goods all over India.
